The Nerja Town Hall Public Health Department informs that today begins the campaign for the control of insects and rodents carried out by a specialized company. The treatments will be done in the following dates: In all the town and east urbanizations up to Friday 24th April. In Maro on the 27th and 28th. In the industrial areas and the other west urbanizations on Wednesday 29th.
Apart from the roads, the treatments will be done in the all public buildings, municipal parking, Guardia Civil, Punto Limpio recycling centre, cemetery, schools and public sport centres.
The Public Health Councillor, Javier Rodriguez, states that “the present enclosure situation is the best moment to achieve this plan of action as there will be less inconveniences caused by the inevitable appearance of insects after disinfection. It is very important to reduce the insect and rodent population before the heat comes and in this way, it will be easier to control during the summer period”.
