El Ayuntamiento de Nerja, a través de la Concejalía de Residentes, ha organizado en colaboración con el Consulado Británico un acto informativo para residentes británicos de nuestro municipio sobre la posible salida del Reino Unido de la Unión Europea, conocido como Brexit. El acto tendrá lugar el próximo 27 de noviembre a las 10.30 horas en el Salón de Plenos.
El concejal, Javier Rodríguez, ha explicado que “con este acto informativo pretendemos que nuestros residentes británicos resuelvan sus dudas sobre todos los aspectos relacionados con su situación en España si definitivamente se produce la salida del Reino Unido. Son muchos los que acuden diariamente al Departamento de Extranjeros del Ayuntamiento, y por ello hemos considerado oportuno realizarlo.”
Durante dos horas, personal del consulado atenderá las dudas a los asistentes e informará de todo lo relacionado con la obtención de residencia, carnet de conducir, asistencia sanitaria y pasaportes, entre otros asuntos.
Desde la Concejalía de Residentes se informa que la Embajada Británica en España ha puesto a disposición más información sobre el Brexit en la página, en la sección Living in Spain www.gov.uk/guidance/living- in-spain, y a través de la página de Facebook “Brits in Spain”.
BRITISH CONSULATE BREXIT Q&A POP UP IN NERJA
The British Consulate in collaboration with Nerja Foreigners Department will be holding a Brexit Information Pop Up event at the Nerja Town Hall meeting room, second floor, on Wednesday, November 27th from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
This event forms part of the British Embassy ́s campaign to inform British citizens in Spain about residency, exchanging driving licences, healthcare cover and passports, to name some of the subjects covered.
A member of the consular team will be on hand to answer questions and point UK nationals to the right sources of information in order for them to be prepared for Brexit and, above all, be correctly registered with the Spanish authorities.
The first part of around 45 minutes will be for all the public to ask general questions. After, if you wish to ask any individual question, this will be at the end of the meeting as a pop up. Appointments are not needed for the general meeting. The individual pop up will depend on the time availability.
