Those who have family in Nerja cemetery are liable to pay Cemetery Tax which will be 23.05 €. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, you will receive a notification from the Tax Office, Patronato de Recaudación.

IBI GENERAL RATES 2011 JULY 1ST TO SEPTEMBER 9TH

Owners of a property are liable to pay the IBI tax. You will be receiving a notification to pay it at any bank. If you do not receive the invoice, you can collect it at the Tax Office, Patronato de Recaudación, who has now changed address to C/ Axarquía 3 (by the main road opposite the entrance to Calle Castilla Pérez, near the pergolas). Mondays to Fridays from 09:00 to 13:30

 

DUTCH TOURIST MISSING IN SPAIN

Since Thursday 16 June 2011, the Dutch Mary-Anne Goossens is missing. Mary-Anne left Tuesday June 14 for a 10-day holiday-trip to Malaga (Spain). Last contact with Mary-Anne was Thursday night (16 June) with her children by text message. Since then, nobody has seen or spoken Mary-Anne. On that Thursday she checked into Hotel Bajamar in Nerja - Malaga. This was also the last moment her credit card and debit card have been used. The hotel room is prepaid through Thursday, June 22. Her luggage is still in her hotel room but the bed has not been used for days.

Mary-Anne left Holland in good mental en fysical state. Her family is deeply concerned since she is very keen on keeping contact on a daily basis. Right now, all official agencies in Spain and Holland are actively warned and have all details. Today, Wednesday 22 June, her son and ex-husband & close friend Johan Korten are flying to Malaga to start a local search. In Holland are daughter Jantje Korten, family and friends doing the best they can to find Mary Anne.

FREE SPANISH CLASSES FOR FOREIGN ADULTS. REGISTRATION UNTIL 30TH JUNE

A 9 month Spanish for Foreigners course will take place at the school Centro Giner de los Rios in Calle Diputación 2, 1st floor. This course will start in September or October 2011 until June 2012. The registration period will be during this month until June 30th from 16:00h to 20:00h at the address before mentioned. Please present passport or residence card and one small photograph. Limited spaces.

We inform that the Nerja Tax Office, Patronato de Recaudación, has moved from C/ Cristo 14. The new address is C/ Axarquía 3, between the roundabout of Supermarket Supersol and the entrance to Castilla Perez, by the pergolas.
