BASES TO GIVE WORKSHOPS THROUGH
THE MUNICIPAL CENTRE OF INFORMATION FOR
WOMEN

Anyone who would wish to monitor or collaborator by giving a
workshop through the Municipal Centre of Information for Women must
request this during the month of July. An Official Request Form is
available at the Department of Equality on the third floor of Nerja Town
Hall.
(curriculum's, teaching qualifications or similar are not needed).

• 1. The workshops will be from October 2010 to June 2011.

• 2. The workshops will be 2 hours long, once a week.

• 3. Workshops can be given in the morning, afternoon and / or evening, according to the wishes of the monitors – collaborators.

• 4. The monitors – collaborators will receive payment directly from the students. At a price of 15€ per month.

• 5. The workshops will be given in the Municipal Centre for Multiple
• Uses “Clara Campoamor”. In C/ Hernando de Carabeo, N·80.

• 6. The monitors – collaborators should communicate any changes they wish to make, previously to the Municipal Centre of Information for Women. As well as any circumstance or anomaly that could effect the planned development of the workshops. Non compliance of this rule could result in the suspension of the workshop.

• 7. The monitors – collaborators should vigilant of the correct use of the installations where the workshops are taking place, as well as enforce the rules established for the use of the Municipal Centre for Multiple Uses “Clara Campoamor”.

• 8. The Department of Equality of Nerja Town Hall, reserves the right of selection and continuity over the workshops to be given during the course of 2010 /2011. Of which the monitors – collaborators will be informed.

Clara Campoamor is a well know Spanish suffragette and both the
building in Carabeo and adjacent square are named after her in recognition
of her fight for equality.

Dear friend,
Perhaps you have heard about donating blood. Possibly this news letter will
make you ask “why should I donate blood?”
You should know that your donation will produce the necessary blood
products to treat more than three sick people. At this moment in time there
are people with illnesses that need your help.

CONDITIONES TO BE ABLE TO DONATE
- Age between 18 and 65 years.
- Weight access of 50 Kg.
- Enjoy good health.

FRECUENCY
Donations: - Men, 4 times a year.
- Women - 3 times a year
We ask for your support to give health to all those people who don’t enjoy
it and are in need of assistance.

REFUSE GAS COMPANIES TO ENTER YOUR HOUSE

Once again we have different gas companies knocking on everyone's door to make the gas revision. We have received many complaints informing us that they intend by all means to get into the house saying that it is compulsory to make the gas revision and if you do not do it you will have many problems. They also charge extremely high prices once they have managed to convince you to let them in your house.

Say no and do not let them into your house.

The gas revision is to be done every 5 years but with the company that you choose and have phoned previously to make an appointment for them to come to your house.
In Nerja we have 2 gas companies with an office where you can contact them or complain if necessary:

Repsol (orange bottles):

TRAFIC LAW REFORM

The letter has 3 parts titled: Simple, Easy and Just.

• Simple: The system of imposing fines has been simplified, light infractions up to 100€, grave infractions 200€ and very grave 500€. You have 20 days from receiving the notification of a fine to pay with a 50% discount or to contest.

• Easy: As a driver you can change your postal address for an internet one and receive information by email. You can also check to see if you have any outstanding fines and pay via the internet.

• Just: There are now just 20 infractions that can remove points off your licence (as listed). 6 points can be recuperated by attending special driving courses and a Driving Licence will only be removed by loosing of all your point or with a court order.

CONRIRM YOU ARE REGISTERED ON THE CENSUS

If you don't confirm your registration, you could be removed from the list (loosing all rights and benefits that this brings).
This administrative procedure is free.

Confirmation of your registration can be done on the ground floor of the Town Hall at the "Ventanilla Unica" (The documents Window) Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:30 h.

You will need to bring along an original identification document i.e. passport and your Certificate of Registration as a European Citizen which states your N.I.E.

Who has to confirm their registration?
Citizens of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cypress (the Greek side), Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungry, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Leetonia, Liechtenstein, Lithonia, Luxemburg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland & The United Kingdom.
