This booklet has been produced by the Foreigners Department of the Nerja Town Hall to give general information on items of interest to foreigners who live or have a property in Nerja.

Before buying a house, a car or living in Nerja, do not hesitate to visit our department where we can advise you on what you need to do.  We also offer general information regarding Residence Card or Certificate, NIE, Registering on the Population Census, Social Security Medical Service, Town Hall Taxes, Traffic, Inland Revenue, etc.

The Foreigners Department is on the ground floor of the Nerja Town Hall, providing advice in English, French, Italian and a little German. For any inquiries you can consult the head of this department, Jacky Gomez.

Also the Councillor of the Foreigners Department, Emma Hall, will be pleased to help you with special items regarding your community or area. Appointments can be made at our department.

We hope you enjoy Nerja and do not have unnecessary problems due to inadequate information.

The Nerja Foreigners Department is on the ground floor of the Town Hall next to the main entrance. We will be pleased to assist all foreigners that need general information on living in Nerja.
